About Me

Thank you stopping by. I’m delighted you are here :) Here is a little bit about the girl on the mat...

lifelong student, soccer mom, bookworm, fluent Spanish speaker, identical twin, PA native, lover of powder days, wannabe plant lady, expert empanada maker, adventure seeker, yogini, live music fan …. adventure seeker

A lost bet in college over a psychology grade resulted in a boy in my class taking me out to dinner for what would become our first date. Twenty-five years, one business, two daughters, one dog and many adventures later, the boy who lost the bet and I are raising a family and running a business together in the foothills of Colorado.

Prior to becoming a full time yoga instructor, I acted as director for Global Works, an organization providing student service and travel programs. Currently I am a board member of Global Works Community Fund and stay involved in Global Works as an HR advisor and travel expert. My husband, Fritz, daughters, Ellie (age 12), Hanna (age 10), and our quarantine puppy, Roo, (age 1) are my favorite traveling and adventure companions. Off the mat, you’ll find me biking, hiking or camping around Colorado with the family, or dancing blissfully with my framily at Red Rocks (but, more recently, streaming music in my kitchen … and still dancing!). My sisters, Elizabeth and Katie, and my sister-friends are a great source of strength, inspiration and laughter in my life. They are also the foundation to my growing yoga community in Louisville.

Shout Outs from Students

Polly’s teaching has completely transformed my yoga practice. She has encouraged me to create good habits both with my body and my mind. Her ability to communicate adjustments and focus on proper alignment has helped me to my grow practice and explore more challenging poses. Polly works from a space of compassion and inner spiritual understanding of yoga. I love the good vibes and welcoming atmosphere that Polly creates for every one of her students. She has an easy and kind spirit and her class brings me with a physical and mental well-being every time I step on the mat with her. I am very fortunate to have Polly as my teacher and am so grateful for the beautiful community that she has created around her practice.

“As a long time student of Polly, what I find most special about her teaching is her ability to connect with and understand each of her students and how their bodies move in this world. Her approach is thoughtful and also empowering and motivating.”

— Dana M.

“Both fun and wise, Polly is a gifted teacher and a knowledgeable, supportive guide. In her welcoming and approachable way, Polly simultaneously provides alignment-focused instruction and the invitation to take the meaning and practice of yoga well beyond our mats. In her classes, I have found not only practical and accessible approaches towards alleviating pain or being able to sustainably continue to do the activities I love, but also the opportunity to take the practice deeper, with an expanded consideration of purpose and community.”

— Michelle K.

“There’s something special that happens when a yoga instructor incorporates skill, grace and meaning into every asana. And that’s exactly what Polly provides. With each class that I take with Polly, I feel grounded, strong, and confident. I am beyond grateful to be part of the yoga community that Polly fosters and, with her dedication to inclusion, I know anyone who enters will feel welcome and inspired.”
